We're delighted to share that we’ve now added Vimeo to our array of connectors for MirrorWeb Insight. We're pleased to say that this new feature has now been approved, and we're able to capture posts, live streams, user interactions, and channel updates from business pages on the Vimeo platform.
Why is it useful?
Vimeo has over 230 million users globally on its platform, with more than 30% of those based in the US. As we have seen with a surge in ‘finfluencers’, video content is a viable and increasingly popular avenue for marketing financial products.
Our connector for Vimeo enables firms to automatically capture and archive various video content and its associated interactions, ensuring that all marketing communications are documented for compliance purposes.
It is designed for customers who need to be able to capture public content posted on a given Vimeo channel. The target market is regulated businesses of all sizes using Vimeo to share information with customers and clients.
What does it capture?
The Vimeo connector captures...
- Channel - All account channel information. This includes the title, description, image, and link of the monitored user’s channel.
- Posts - All video posts, along with the description, title, published/updated dates, and captions of the post.
- User interactions - Comments, replies to comments, reactions to posts, reactions to comments.
- Live Streams - Any uploaded VOD is captured once a live stream is completed.

Vimeo content appears inside the MirrorWeb Insight platform exactly as you've come to expect from your Insight communications: all comments and reactions appear inline with the original post, giving you full context as to what occurred when.
When we ingest Vimeo video content, we automatically transcribe everything said in the video. Users are then able to click through to flagged content in the transcription (ie noncompliant terms). This is useful for long webinars, when users just want to review potentially noncompliant terms rather than going through the whole transcription.
